Entirely organic pest control
Pest biological control with low oxygen
Our Low Oxygen (LOX) method is an entirely biological method of pest control. It offers a solution in cases of infestation of seed and consumer products and animal feed products by microorganisms, among others.
Low oxygen
An aerobic bacterium needs oxygen for its metabolism and does a lot of damage. Expelling oxygen in an airtight space where goods are stored in bulk suffocates many pests. Our nitrogen generator produces very high purity nitrogen, bringing oxygen levels to low levels in an enclosed space. Tests show that our LOX method is adequate and suffocates microorganisms present such as gall mites, narcissism mites, potworms and zipper needles in these conditions.
What are the benefits of the low oxygen act?
Our LOX (Low Oxigen) method has a number of advantages:
- Entirely organic
- Leaves no residue on the product
- On-site nitrogen production and therefore not site-specific
- Treatment in bulk possible
The technique of expelling oxygen with nitrogen is our core business. Our nitrogen generator uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. This involves separation of nitrogen and oxygen by binding the oxygen molecules to a carbon molecular sieve: the Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS).
From the existing PSA technology, we developed a completely new system: High Performance – PSA. This eliminates the disadvantages of a traditional PSA system. Our HP technology is distinguished by an optimized air flow in the system. But also through a unique pressure system for the activated carbon.
The big advantage of the HP-PSA technology, in particular, is the energy savings. When you compare this to membrane technology, energy savings of 40 to 50% can be achieved!
