Presscon Vernit Expansion System
The Presscon Vernit is a nitrogen expansion system for vertical storage tanks. The system regulates the air pressure prevailing in these tanks and, for example, the associated heating system. The Vernit Expansion System can be linked to other stand-alone storage tanks using the ELC System. For more information on this, see Presscon ELC System.
The Presscon Vernit Expansion System creates a nitrogen blanket in vertical storage tanks and regulates the pressure of this nitrogen blanket within a range of 10 mbar to 18 mbar. The Presscon Vernit creates static water level through pressure, which determines the pressure on the heating system.
The expansion system consists of a nitrogen generator with a compressed air compressor, a set of pressure sensors that measure the water level and pressure at the top of a buffer tank, a vacuum overpressure protector for the buffer tank and a control module that controls the nitrogen generator. The Vernit units are deliberately built open, without an interior cabinet. This choice allows easy access for maintenance and reduces investment costs for the end user.
Although our standard expansion systems range in production capacity from 1 m3 to 18 m3 of 99% nitrogen gas per hour, Presscon also designs and builds custom nitrogen plants for a variety of industrial applications, with capacities up to 1,000 m3 of nitrogen gas per hour.

Presscon Vernit Premium
The Presscon Vernit Premium features the most comprehensive switch panel. The touchscreen shows water level, nitrogen blanket pressure and alarms, providing more visual overview of the system and more intuitive controls compared to the Basic model. Also, the Touchscreen can be used universally for multiple types of nitrogen generators.
