We are looking for an Engineer of Development (R&D Engineer)!
Are you technically strong, innovative and energized by developing and improving systems from concept to realization? Then we are looking for you! As an Engineer of Development at Presscon you work on designing, developing and optimizing our technical solutions. You translate customer requirements into smart, reliable and future-proof systems and work closely with colleagues from sales and production.

What will you do?
- Co-drafting the program of requirements and technical specifications
- Design, calculation and detailing of products, installations and systems
- Translating concepts into technical drawings and production documentation
- Development of test assemblies and test structures
- Testing (virtual and physical) of process and product innovations
- Initiate and implement improvements to existing designs
- Investigate and substantiate alternative production methods
- Preparation of material and order lists
- Monitor progress, planning and (partly) cost aspects within projects
- Ensure correct and complete technical documentation (including data sheets, manuals)
- Transfer of designs to work preparation, assembly and other departments involved
- Assist with assembly, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Advising colleagues and resellers on technical applications and software
Who are we looking for?
Job Requirements
- Completed technical training (e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar)
- Experience with R&D projects and product development
- Experience in improving and further developing existing systems
- Knowledge of NEN 1010 and relevant standards
- Experience with installation technology (including sensing and control systems)
- Experience with CAD software
- Knowledge of Embedded programming
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages (oral and written)
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Is able to operate independently and takes responsibility proactively
